Returns FAQ's

Can I return my order?

You read out Return Policy here:
Return Policy

Orders can be cancelled until they are fulfilled (sent for shipping).

We do not offer refunds for buyer's remorse or change of mind or wrong sizes. Any claims for wrong/damaged/defective items must be submitted within 30 days after the product has been received. For packages lost in transit, all claims must be submitted no later than 30 days after the estimated delivery date. Claims deemed an error on our part are covered at our expense.

Can I exchange an item for a different size/color?

At this time, we don't offer exchanges. If you’re unsure which size would fit better, check out our sizing charts—we have one for every item listed on our store, in the product description section. Though rare, it's possible that an item you ordered was mislabeled. If that’s the case, please let us know within a week after receiving your order. Include your order number and photos of the mislabeled item, and we’ll send you a new one, or issue a refund!

Charity FAQ's

Why does every product donate $1 to charity?

Different products generally have different profit margins. This is precisely why we decided that every product should donate $1. If donations for each product were set to be the exact amount of net-profit for that product, we would have to calculate a separate donation list (which contains 30 donation options) and sync this list to the product page, and do this for basically every product we add to the store.

As well, because we don’t make donations every time a product is sold but rather compile the amounts to be donated and then make one large donation every quarter or so, the net-profit amounts for every product need to be compiled with no room for error, as opposed to the more simple route of just adding one dollar to the amount to be donated when a product is purchased.

In order to bypass this timely, costly, and error-prone process, we simply decided that the net-profit would proactively be set to $1. If it turns out that Real Inc. is generating more net-profit than it needs to run and maintain itself, the excess net-profit will go towards growing Real Inc. instead. This way, 100% of (net) profits will always be donated to charity and we can simultaneously bypass the more complex route of calculating the net-profit, which in and of itself is not so simple and particularly impossible in the beginning of our launch, as it requires determining the net-profit of a product before it’s even sold, something that can only be done after much previous financial data is collected and analyzed.

However, we do presume that more charity could be given if the exact net-profit for each product is donated, therefore we intend to investigate this further, and if in fact it could generate more charity, we intend then to develop an automated system to bypass the current costliness, timeliness, and ease for error involved in the manual system.

Why do you give your profit to charity?

We sacrifice our profit to demonstrate that others should too. We keep what we need and sacrifice what we want so that others can get what they need.

How much charity has been given?

We actually just launched and our still processing our first donations. We hope to have some numbers up soon in our Impact page.

How much of your profit goes to charity?

100% of all net profit.

Which charities do you donate to?

Real Inc. donates to the charities listed in the Charities page.

When are donations made?

Once every fiscal quarter (every three months).

Where do you get the charity impact quantifications from?

All quantified charitable impacts (per unit(s) of currency donated (i.e. $1 plants 1 tree)) stated in Real Inc. are estimates derived directly from the websites of the organizations being donated to and / or distinguished charity evaluators of these organizations such as The Life You Can Save, Dollar Donation Club, GiveWell, and Animal Charity Evaluators.

We cannot guarantee that what is stated on these websites is accurate nor can we guarantee that what is stated will be fulfilled. We are not responsible for the accuracy and fulfillment of what is stated on these websites as well.

We have not yet implemented automatic synchronization of quantified charitable impacts from the organizations being donated to. That means that we manually check the websites of these organizations every so often to see if these quantifications have changed, and if so, they are updated accordingly on our end. This implies that there may be a delay between an organization changing its impact quantifications and Real Inc. seeing these changes, causing impact quantifications in Real Inc. not being aligned with those stated on the websites of these organizations being donated to. If you find that there is a difference between the quantified impacts on our end and of those stated on the websites of the organizations being donated to, please contact us and inform us so that we can make the proper updates.

How do I know you're actually donating to charity?

All our financials are open to the public. We have just launched and therefore have not put together any reports yet that we can post online, but if you email us with a request to take a look at the store's invoices and the donation receipts to see that they line up, you may.

We are in the process of developing donation trackability as well, which the customer will be able to tap into from the Track page where they will be able to verify that the donation has been made.
