"The most important commandment..."

Real Economics is entirely inspired by and based on the Torah. The most important thing that comes before all else according to the Torah is a threat to human life. The Shabbat, the building of the Temple, the writing of a Torah scroll, and all the other commandments laid out in the Torah are all secondary in the face of a threat to one person's life, let alone millions.

In many ways the most important commandment of all, and even referred to as the basis of all commandments, is that of giving charity.

David understood the great importance of both attending to a life under threat and to giving charity, and saw that they were even greater when combined. This is Real Economics.
